Workshop

Aligning Communication & Decision-Making in Global Teams

Your team is spread across countries, working hard, and mostly getting things done. But decisions take longer than they should, things get lost between time zones, and nobody’s quite sure whose communication style is causing friction — or how to talk about it. This workshop fixes that.

Where differences in feedback, decision-making, or expectations are creating tension

Leadership teams across regions

Senior leaders who need to align on how they communicate and make decisions together

Teams after a period of growth or change

New members, new markets, or new structures that have shifted how the team works
What it covers

What a cross-cultural communication workshop covers

01

Your team understands why the same message lands differently

Each person leaves with a clearer picture of how their own cultural background shapes how they communicate — and how to read others more accurately.

02

Friction can be named without it becoming personal

The team has a shared language for discussing differences — so when something isn’t working, they can address it directly without blame or defensiveness.

03

Decisions are made more clearly and followed through

The team has surfaced the assumptions behind how decisions get made — so there’s less ambiguity, fewer dropped balls, and more consistent follow-through.

04

Hidden assumptions are out in the open

Surfacing the implicit assumptions that shape how each team member communicates — making them discussable rather than invisible sources of cultural friction.

05

The team has a communication framework they actually wrote together

Co-creating a practical “third culture” framework tailored to the team’s context — agreed norms that belong to the team, not imposed from outside.

06

Everyone leaves knowing exactly how this team works

Agreed norms around channels, response times, feedback, and clarity — so there’s no ambiguity about expectations when the team disperses again.

How it works

Three phases designed for lasting impact

The workshop combines preparation, in-person facilitation, and optional follow-up — so the outcomes are grounded in your team’s real context and built to last beyond the session.

Phase 01

Preparation

As part of this cross-cultural training, participants complete a confidential pre-work questionnaire exploring communication preferences, assumptions, and experiences of working in global teams. Responses are analysed by your cross-cultural consultant and used to shape the workshop so discussions reflect your team’s real context.

Phase 02

In-person workshop

This cross-cultural communication workshop combines research-based input with guided reflection and facilitated discussion. Structured, interactive, and focused on helping the team articulate how they communicate and how they want to work together going forward.

Phase 03

Follow-up conversations

Individual follow-up conversations with each participant after the workshop — checking in on how the agreed norms are landing in practice, addressing anything that’s unclear, and reinforcing the shared framework the team built together.
